[ In the Name of Allaah the Most Merciful, may His Salaah and Salaam be upon His final Messenger Muhammad, and upon all of his noble family and companions, to proceed... There are many unauthentic narrations about the Qur'aan being circulated these days. [1] The following narrations are some examples: ]
#859 - [ It has been narrated ] on the authority of Aboo Hurayrah (radhiyallaahu 'anhu), the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaah 'alayhe wa sallam) said:
"Whoever listens to any verse of Allaah's Book will receive a good reward that will be multiplied; and whoever recites it will have light on the Day of Judgement."
Dha'eef (weak) - It was collected by Ahmad from 'Ubaadah ibn Muyassarah, whose reliability has been disputed. The chain also has Al-Hasan reporting from Aboo Hurayrah, and the majority of the scholars hold that Al-Hasan did not hear from Aboo Hurayrah.

Nine Great Benefits of Reading and Reflecting Over the Qur'aan

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, may His Salaah and Salaam be upon His last Messenger Muhammad, to proceed:
Indeed the Book of Allaah is not a book like any other, it is the timeless Speech of Allaah, not a created thing, a study guide for life and death and what comes after. Therefore it deserves a more careful study than anyone else's speech. It necessitates that its reader return to the early narrations of those who witnessed its revelation and heard its explanation by the one deputed by Allaah to rehearse and explain His Words to humanity (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam). For if one would try to ponder over the meanings of the verses without having done this study, then surely the filth of the time that he lives in and his ignorance of the correct application and understanding that the early Muslims had would cause him to understand some things not intended by Allaah Most High, and therefore he would go astray, thinking to be worshipping Allaah.

Topic: Question: what to do if you forget how many days of Ramadaan you've missed

Salaamoe aleikoem,

I have an very urgent question on behalf of my sister.
The last three years she have been careless with fasting the missed days (due to menstruation) of Ramadaan. Now she regret and wants to make Taubah. What does she have to do in this situation?

Does she have to make up the missed days of three months of Ramadaan? And if so, how many days does she have to make up? She don't know how many days she have missed of Ramadaan.

Does she have to do something else besides fasting the missed days?

Are those questions ever been asked to the Ulamaa?
Could somebody prossably ask an Aalim about this questions?

The obligation of fasting even when work circumstances are not conducive to fasting

Question:

I am a soldier, and the month of Ramadaan came upon me, so is it permissible to not fast knowing that the circumstances (at work) do not help/aid me upon fasting?
Answer:

It is not permissible for you to not fast in Ramadaan if you are a person who is required to fast, unless you are a traveller or are suffering from an illness with which you do not have the strength to fast – according to His Statement, the Exalted: So whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days of missed fasting) must be (made up) from other days. Soorah al Baqarah (2) aayah 185
And He has not placed upon you in the religion any hardship. Soorah al Hajj (22) aayah 78
Allaah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity Soorah al Baqarah (2) aayah 286

Fast what is upon you from missed fasts first

Question:

Is it permissible to fast the 6 days of Shawwaal before making up the missed fasts of Ramadhan? And is it permissible to fast on Monday in the month of Shawwaal with the intention of making up the missed fasts of Ramadhan, and with the intention of attaining the reward of fasting on the Monday?
Answer:

The reward of fasting the six days of Shawwaal is not attained except if a person has completed the month’s fasts of Ramadhan, so whoever has some missed fasts from Ramadhan then let him not fast the six days of Shawwaal until he has completed the missed fasts of Ramadhan, because the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

Whoever fasts Ramadhan then follows that with six from Shawwaal…

Q. Is one who calls himself a "Salafi" to be considered a partisan (hizbi?)
A. There is not harm [1] in labelling oneself with Salafiyyah when it is in truth. However, if it is merely a claim then it is not permissible to label oneself with Salafiyyah, whilst one is upon a manhaj other than that of the Salaf.
The Ash'aris for example, say "We are Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah" and this is not correct. This is because what they are upon is not the manhaj of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah. It is likewise for the Mu'tazilah who call themselves "Muwahhideen" (Monotheists).

All of them claim to have love for Laylaa
Yet Laylaa does not affirm this for any of them

THE SHAIKH & 'ALLAAMAH 'UBAID AL-JAABIREE: THE RECENT ATTACKS UPON SALAFI PUBLICATIONS & THE STATEMENTS OF SHAIKH WASI'ULLAAH
Ash-Shaikh ul-'Allaamah Ubaid Al-Jaabiree, hafidhahullaah said: (Date: Sunday 8th October 2006, after taraweeh prayer, in the city of Madeenah, KSA, during the Dawrah 'Ilmiyyah in Ramadhaan)
"As for the fourth level, it is the level of patience in whatever harm afflicts him in the path of calling to Allaah, the Sublime and Exalted. And you should know, may Allaah bless you, that whoever puts himself forward for da'wah and partakes in it, then he appoints for himself the duty of the Prophets and Messengers, from Nuh, the first of them, to Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam).
And so long as the affair is like that, then harm will afflict him to the level of his striving in his da'wah. But sometimes it can increase, when ignorance increases, and corruption increases, and innovations increases, then it (the harm) can become more severe upon the caller to Allaah.
